Rainbow Forest

A wooded area near some castle ruins in Crediton, Devon. The simplicity and wide scope of this shot lent itself to a more surreal experiment with colour, replacing the greens and browns of the wood with an arcing rainbow effect. The effect was applied to the entire picture while excluding the main grassy area, then touched-up in detail, removing the effect from areas that stood out as looking wrong, such as branches, trunks and the hill itself.

This was a final piece for the Colour and Detail project.
